Should it come to this. This is tautomount to bullying. The objectionable derailment to this thread could be placed in a thread of its own under any header you like and a discussion could ensue there.

much as i hate to stick up for in bloom i thought binning that thread was a bit harsh, it didnt seem to me to be a corporate event, they were even offering money for travel expenses

perhaps a pm asking them to summarise the conference rather than a cut and paste might have been nicer

Fucking ridiculous, regardless of how unpretentious the decor of the Astoria is. I mean for fucks sake, what do you expect? I really really dont give a shit about how grimey the Astoria is, or Mean Fiddler, its the live music that counts, its having a venue in a prime location that counts too.

How could they just let the place be knocked down for more shops?! Why do they need more shops?! Just more cunting retail therapy.

Without these two venues I have lost the only two London rock venues around that I actually like.
