Save your rolleyes. Sausages are important to us limeys. Like the French talk about magnums and jeroboams of champagne to denote different bottle sizes we have terms like chipolatas, snags, bangers and the like for our fine sausages.

I only get them ones that are mainly meat. Last lot were some posh brand from Tesco that were 98% pork shoulder. They were fookin' lovely. None of the others there at the time went above something like 60% pork. Most were around the dodgy 46% mark.

usually 2-3 if they're the proper fat juicy ones you get from a real butchers.

Who remembers when the UK first joined the EEC and British "sausages" weren't allowed to be sold in Europe under that name 'cos there wasn't enough meat in them. I believe the Daily Express and one or two other rags mounted a campaign to save our British banger. Good old days.

That's cos they were chipolatas! You serve chipolatas with roast chicken, not Sausages
