Saudi paedo to be beheaded & crucified!

Sure. That's why most child abuse isn't paedophilia, because that stuff's just 'normal'.

I sincerely hope that you're trolling, but if not, indulge me.

Say those words that you just typed out loud to yourself. Once you've done that reply with whatever you feel.

So... what are they? Just 'evil'?

Maybe some of them have a birth defect that can be prevented, or another physical problem, but I think some people make that choice. Maybe we don't give agency and the fact that people are radically diverse enough credit?

but I think some people make that choice.

Okay, so you think that some people choose to be atracted to pre-adolescents, and choose everything that goes with being a paedophile, both socially and morally.

What does that say about their capacity to make decisions?

Do they choose the attraction? But no-one chooses sexual attraction, they choose sexual behaviour.

Okay, I'll indulge you.

Do you think it is perfectly normal look upon a three year old child and experience sexual arousal?

"A persistent or a predominant preference..."

Uh..., the news report stated "children", while only describing his youngest victim.

Children being the plural of child I assume that to mean that there was more than one. Or even two.

Kinda meets that "persistent or a predominant preference...", don't you think?

I think all he's trying to say is that "I can't help it" isn't an excuse. What he's ignoring is that nobody is saying it is an excuse, any more than being heterosexual means you have to rape women.

My point isn't that he doesn't meet the definition - it's the construct and its definition itself that is problematic.

But this is the only problem right?

That is one problem. The main one is that it de-simulates pedaphilic sexuality as an embedded problem.
