How do you cut your sandwich?

Triangles, they work better that way.
Unless its one of those stupid small loaves in which case there no point cutting it.

This is very true.....I hadn't thought of that! Somehow the posh triangle-ness cancels out the part straight / part round issue....

when I was a kid my dad and i always split rounds of toast and he'd let me decide whether i'd go for the rounded side or the triangular side. If lower down the pile of toast i chose happened to be a burnt side, I had to live with it.Gave an early lesson on decision making, that did.

I haven't made a sandwich for years but when I used to do cheese on toast (no grill now) I would cut it into four square quarters.

in half diagonally - everyone knows sandwiches taste better when cut into triangles

if i am feeling indulgant, i will cut into quarters, again triangles

Which one is the second way? :hmm:

from curved top to straight tail.

don't tell me you do it that way!

I cut mine in half down the middle. It is a better way to manage the filling, no matter what these diagonal idiots on here might say.

My Dad does a rather strange, three cut thing, each piece a different size

Maybe it's a 'dad size', 'mum size' and 'child size'...I have no clue really :hmm:

I did do it that way today, less decisions about which half to eat first - they're both the same. Like the bacon sarnie pic trashy posted? ;) :D

I like my toast as triangles though :o

I cut them diagonally ..

Always ..

They are easier to eat that way..

Not voting in the poll. What was the point in making such a poll public?

Actually, the sandwich is probably the most popular fast food in the world.
Competing with burgers hotdogs, pasties and the like.

And sandwiches are BRITISH !!

Yea !!

My nan is really old and and blind has a bit of an eating disorder and so we now cut her sandwiches into 3. If you cut it into quarters, she maintains she couldn't possibly eat all of it but she'll eat 3 bits.

I always make my polls public. What's the point of private polls?

Surely the real question should be, what's worse - asking the question in the first place or actually being interested in the answer?

I want to know which of you are going to serve me a decent sarnie

Three triangles. Sometimes two if it's not a big enough sandwich. Oblongs (cut half down the middle) are not very grown up and dare I say a little 'common' unless on white with hard cheese. .

@ quimcunx

I've not done attachments or the like before, but I'll try and decribe it.

If you cut from just under the crust diagonally but not quite to the bottom, that's one piece, then with the other straight corner, again cut diagonally into the middle.

You should end up with one bit almost a half sandwich triangle, one bit should be a quarter size triangle and a rather odd left over bit if that makes any sense at all :o
