What's wrong with ordinary hummous? The Turks don't make all these fancy variations.

Nothing wrong with ordinary hummous, but if you're dairy and gluten intolerant then Hummous features quite regularly and a little variation is fantastic.
I am a liberal, not a conservative when it comes to food.

well, in my experience they always did specify what meat it was: beef, liver & bacon, sardine & tomato, crab etc...
