Where's the option for "no because I just don't like salt that much, not because I give fuck about the health aspect" ??

I add it to stuff when I'm cooking but I don't drown my plate in it like a lot people. I don't really get how a lot of people want their food to taste primaily of salt and/or pepper

Losalt is for girls. I use a proper man' salt like sea salt which is better for you and comes in man sized grains.

Ditto.

I'm an autocondimentalist, so a pinch of sea salt goes on everything.

My favourite "healthy" snack at the moment is a stick of celery (go health! :D) with a generously thick line of salt right up the middle (oh no! :()

I also too like it on chippie chips, but not much else. A tiny bit in cooking to bring out the flavour, but not enough to notice that there's any salt in.

Oh, I boil my mashing potatoes in moderately salted water, too and don't rinse them (so I never add salt to the mash as it's being mashed).

I fucking love salt. I'd be happy to have a salt lick. I love drinking "poor man's soup" - AKA Oxo. Sometimes with two cubes in one cup :o As a child I used to nibble on Oxo cubes rather than sweets.

But I am conscientious and do try not to eat it too much. My blood pressure is normal.

Put salt in pretty much everything savoury that I cook, and add a pinch to anything savoury I eat, sometimes before tasting, sometimes after (not sure what the decider is on that one).

I add gourmet salt, cos the complex but subtle flavours and aromas in it are not present in normal salt.

Freak.

I used to eat oxo cubes as well, and drink vinegar.

On some meals I'll have salt, pepper, vinegar, and a few different sauces :)

Me too! My mum used to take me to the cafe in Tescos on Saturday mornings and I'd embarress her by always trying to drink out of the Sarson's bottle.

Gourmet salt? :D
Yes.

I am very passionate about salt. I am even a member of the local Salt Connoisseur's Club. There are so many variables in salt's formation and extraction that contribute to each salt's individual flavour and aromatic characteristics. It really is wonderful, something to be appreciated like fine wine.

This thread reminds me of being in a cafe in St Kitts, my friend asked the waitress for some salt to put on his goat soup...

'Ya taste it' she said forcefully

He did and had to admit it didn't need any.... :)
