If it's made properly it's very tasty. I use a good olive oil, a pinch of good mustard, preferably Dijon, egg yolks and a tiny splash of white wine vinegar. And it is wonderful.

Morrisons own brand mayo is surprisingly good and suspiciously similar to higher priced branded mayo - due to budget constraints I have switched to that. (The regular fatty version, I have no idea what the low fat one is like).

Home made is lovely but doesn't work out so well if your aim is for use in sarnies on a tight budget (compared to a £1 jar that can happily sit in the fridge for weeks!) For special occasions or if I wanted to do something nice for guests (well at least when having guests round for a meal used to be a thing, in The Time Before) I'd go home made every time.
