Ferchrissakes he's not even been in the job for a year and one dud game and suddenly everyone hates him! Jeez, talk about giving someone a fair chance...

www.sackthebuggerswhoappointedhim.co.uk might be more appropriate.

I don't think this is knee jerk stuff. McClaren's appointment was about the most unpopular I can remember. Most people were saying he was shit before he got the job and he's proving them right. It's not knee jerk, just consistent.

It's time to play the nation's favourite game called...

Blame The England Manager!

With your host(s)... Millions of back-page tabloid readers!

There is no prize, only a constant sense of dis-satisfaction.

Yeah the media is what makes it a pretty difficult job, since Graham Taylor was in charge we've been a pretty 3rd rate team, Euro 96 was lucky cos we was at home, any teams gonna receive a massive boost from that. Like South Korea for example, and Holland in that other Euro campaign.

Sven did well, but for his lack of passion he lost it in all his tournaments. The side was full of it, he wasn't. No balls

McClaren is a good manager, yes he's boring as a person but he's dealing with the media spiffingly. Good job he's got a sense of humour in there somewhere.

We killed Kevin Keegan before, took his whole career out of him from when it looked promising. Remember that Manchester United V Fulham game, manu fans shouting Keegan for England, Fulham singing Keegan for Fulham. It wasn't for no reason, but then he loses to Germany and quits, cos the English boo'ed him.

Yeah course we wanna win all the time, but were not that good. Never were

As a Scotland supporter, may I say how pleased I was at the English FA's decision to appoint Mr Mcclaren to the post vacated by the philandering Swede.

Am I alone in thinking that Mcclaren has exceeded expectations thus far? lol.

The sound of England fans booing their team? 'Tis the sound of angels singing, IMHO.

Anyhow. I'll be off now.

:D

I think if Steve MacLaren doesn't pick Jon Stead for the next England match then it'd show just how clueless he actually is!!!

As some others have alluded to already, sacking the manager is just symptomatic of a much bigger problem.

The English ...and by that I mean the FA, the manager (at least the English ones) the players and far too many of the fans are just plain fucking arrogant. They somehow seem to have inherited a genetic condition that makes them believe they are good at football and deserve to be successful.

They are just an average bunch of players, too thick to fully understand concepts like pride and work ethic, shambolically mismanaged by inept and corrupt administrators, who ironically also fail to grasp concepts such as pride and work ethic.

I'm English, been supporting the national team for far too long. Me being English is no longer a good enough reason. They are just useless cunts and I hope they fail to qualify for the next 3 tournaments ...in the hope that it finally forces everyone to wake up and smell the coffee.

Continually replacing the manager is just the ultimate act of supreme arrogance that seems to define the English when it comes to football.
