Ryan Giggs set to be named Wales manager

Decent enough result tonight and a cracking goal

Daniel James' high-class finish gave Wales victory in their friendly against Belarus as Ryan Giggs' team claimed a fourth successive home win.

The winger has made a spectacular start to life at Manchester United after joining from Swansea City in the summer.

And the 21-year-old reproduced his club form on the international stage to hand Wales a deserved triumph.

In what is swiftly becoming a trademark move, the £15m United signing cut inside on to his right foot before curling the ball inside the far post.

Giggs had urged his players to build some momentum after the hard-earned Euro 2020 qualifying triumph over Azerbaijan on Friday.
Fucking terrible crowd though - just 7,666 fans at the Cardiff City stadium - the second lowest ever attendance at that ground for the Wales team :(

Monday night friendly fresh on the heels of a Friday night real game. Low attendance unsurprising.

The result is okay. Friends who attended weren’t impressed with our standard of play.

Can't expect everyone who travelled down for Friday to travel down again. Was an ideal opportunity to have another game at Wrexham. The other results, especially Croatia drawing against Azerbaijan  have helped the team out a little.

Fair play to James though, bet he's grateful as fuck the Leeds move fell through, wouldn't have predicted this rise for him a year ago

Cookie Coleman back for Wales would be a good shout.

He did well there, and is a completely busted flush as a club manager.

It's odd how really good international managers struggle at club level, and vice versa. Giggs of course is neither a good club nor international manager.
