Rust removal advice

i thought this said Bust removal

I have great news everybody! The lemon juice/water has worked a treat! :cool:

I might try the diet coke option too today though - just for fun! :D :rolleyes:


(I thought it was just coke that cleaned pennies etc - not specifically diet coke - is that incorrect then?)
 
Is now a good time to point out that Brass doesn't rust?

They are all very dirty though - even the brass ones (although generally they do seem to be the easiest to clean).

The others are steel and iron afaik.

Put the rusty ones on e-bay, someone will buy them. ;)
 
Go to a bike shop (motorbike) and get a can of rust remover (I'm thinking GT85 but that might be lubricant - have been out of biking a long time) - treat hooks outside and it will literally eat the rust away leaving nice shiny hooks. It's prob no more expensive than a replacement new hook would be!
