I didn't like him before Ross but he was genuinely witty, articulate and a livewire for Ross, who did look stumped at him occasionally, very honest too...

I'd pay to watch him.

I saw this, too, and was surprised at how funny he was, and how well he dealt with JR.

I have seen him doing stand up (a few years ago - not sure whether this would have been before he gave up drugs) and have seen him in his tv shows, and thought he was crap. Until I saw him on Jonathan Ross...

I am now curious.

I always saw him as a poor man's Noel Fielding, and seeing him on JR he looked like a bad Frank Spencer impression. He presented some award ceremony lately which was fucking disastrous but I spose you can't judge a man on a bunch of tenuous links laced with vitriol to keep the know-all cunts happy. I found him genuinely amusing, loved his Jack Sparrowish affectation, it works for him. I have the benefit, perhaps, of never having seen him do anything else though, so am only basing it on the JR appearance.

Plus (k_s pinched me for this comment) I think he's absolutely gorgeous looking. If k_s was wiped off the earth in a random nuclear attack or similar , I think I would want him to be my husband. Just so I could look at him all the time.

I think he's brilliant. I first saw him on that crappy Channel 5 "Kings Of Comedy" show a year or two ago and he was easily the best thing on it. He was bloody marvellous on Ross, too, especially the "stealing porn" routine.

Yeah we couldn't believe it when we saw him on channel 4 a couple of months later. Out of all the presenter tests he not only rated bottom we all agreed we would not even want to be in the same room as him (for safety reasons if nothing else).

I've met DoL a couple of times and he seemed alright as far as TV types go - not too up his arse or prissy.
