runner beans, ideas?

add them to a risotto. I cook them first and add at the end along with broad beans and french beans too, some herbs and a few prawns.

well that's very true, but as I have high cholesterol, I don't have any crumble :(

That's a bit rubbish innit :(

add them to a risotto. I cook them first and add at the end along with broad beans and french beans too, some herbs and a few prawns.

That's a good idea! I'll remember that as I suspect runner beans are going to feature quite regularly for the next few weeks!

that was what I had last night and it was very tasty.

some more ideas (due to also having lots of beans right now)

the night before, french beans sliced up and added to a vaguely vietnamese beef and noodle stir fry.
the night before - the 3 bean combination again, added to some cooked brown rice and then i a dressing made of sesame oil, soy, lime juice, ginger, garlic and chilli and a splash of sweet chilli sauce.

I just made a variation of this. Not enough fresh tomatoes (just a few cherry toms) so I added a tin of chopped tomatoes as well. And swapped the sun dried tomato paste for the pepper paste that selamlar sent me.

It was delicious, had it with some noodles.

The trick with this recipe seems to be making sure that the longish low temperature fry mostly cooks the beans through properly.

I'll definitely be doing that again - cheers hiccup!

I did some chocolate covered cherries whilst it was cooking, they'll probably be ready about now
