Rumour: Premier League manager walks out?

Ironically, thats the rumour I heard earlier today - Vidic goes to you, Lescott goes to United and we get cash + Wes Brown in return.

I really wouldn't have a problem with that TBH....Pique, Vidic, Abidal, Alves. Yes please!

Part of me wonders if ManUre will let Vidic join Barca in the Winter window and try getting Lescott just to stick two fingers up at those upstarts at Eastlands :D

Lescott is alright but the notion of him being anything close to an adequate replacement to Vidic is mental and if it were to come to pass depressing.

Johnny Evans is better than Lescott.

Actually saying that Lescott obviously has potential and if anyone can get it out of him it's Fergie.

Yeah and he's right. But he's not going to leave Everton because of that is he? Let's face it £20m is fucking good business. No point letting it drag on. You need someone better than Steven Taylor ro replace Lescott though.

Its not just about the money or Lescott though - Joleon is not our best player, nor our best defender. If City think they can do this and get away with it, then the real danger for us is that they try to do it again for Jagielka and Arteta in the winter transfer window.

If Moyes makes the experience as unpleasant as possible for everyone concerned then it should prevent future raids of a similar kind.

Few posts on RAWK now. One is :

Quinn is on talksport and he is saying Benitez stormed out of Anfield this morning.

The otehr story is that Paddy Power have stopped taking bets on it.

This was exactly the same a few hours before the game at the Bernabeau last season.

There is now a thread on RAWK called Rafa Gone?

First post:

Micky Quinn has just said on TalkSport that he stormed out of Anfield this morning and Sammy Lee will be manager for tonight.

Paddy from PaddyPower has just been on too and said that 'he's 100% gone'. They've suspended betting on him being the next manager to leave his post.

John Aldridge said that he's 'shocked' about what he heard earlier today but won't reveal the specifics as he doesn't want to disrespect the club.

I don't think he's joking, which makes it all the funnier

I'm not joking, Evans is younger and has already shown him self as very capable cover for Rio and Vidic. One of the reasons Unted were happy enough to let Pique go was because they had Evans coming through and Pique has shown himself to be very capable for the European Champions.

Apparently

Aldridge was asked if he'd heard anything about it and he said that he had. He said that what he'd heard was 'shocking', but out of respect for the club he didn't want to say what that was, despite being questioned. He said that 'enough people will be talking about it soon' and he didn't want to pour more petrol on the flames.

Benitez out, Barnes and MacAteer in apparently.

No way can Rafa be thinking of walking out - why would he go to all that effort of getting Melwood full of people on his side, for want of a better word? *cries* this is not good : (

*keeps brave face/upswing of confidence going*

This is gonna be that great rumour that turned out to be false we all look back on at the end of the season started by twitter isnt it?

Yep. This exactly :)

Good time to start a rumour like this. Lots of potential strong candidates for walking as clubs adjust, or fail to adjust, to new financial realities.
