Rude tube guy berates passenger

bollocks would they, they'd have just gone 'this isn't the train you are looking for, accompany me up stairs' *Guiness jedi handwave*

A *good* Jedi would have done this, true, but I think that this chap was on his way to turning to the Dark Side, in which case, a bit of needless lightsabre slaughter would have been more likely......

If he does lose his job, will he put down "station assistant" or "Jedi Knight" as his previous and/or desired occupation?

Giles..

It's true, actually -- when Obi Wan chopped off that bloke's arm in the pub in Episode IV, why couldn't he just have waved his arms and said, "This isn't the punk kid that you're looking for"? Bastard.

He turns violent once he's got a drink inside him. See Episode II for an early example of this tragic cycle.

Makes sense. I suppose that we see the final effects of his descent into alcoholism by the beginning of Episode IV, where he is a bum sleeping rough in a cave.

Heh, yes. And not even just a droid, but a droid that had actively saved his skin on several occassions.

In London £24K is low paid for an adult

You haven't got the faintest idea what low pay is.

The London Living Wage is £7.60 per hour. For 37.5 hours a week that's less than £15K per year.

The national minimum wage is £5.80 per hour for over-22s. That's £11,310 a year. There are huge numbers of people in London earning less than £20K.

So how do they afford it then? Working families tax credit, selling drugs/kids etc?

Afford what? You make sacrifices based on what you earn...or as debt levels show put it all on credit cards.
