Actually, thinking about it, that's got a lot of re-reads.

So say 3 a week, maybe 6000.

Hundreds upon hundreds, I'm a pretty slow reader but I often have two or three books on the go. I only own a few dozen books though, I generally lend books to people once I've read them and then lose track of them. And most of the books I intend to keep forever I end up losing somehow anyway. The same applies to most of my posessions, the only real exception being cameras and guitars.

A lot of mine are trashy novels though. Right now I'm reading a swashbuckler called 'The King's Gold' by some Spanish guy. I tend to chew through loads of crappy novels when I'm on the road.

i go through phases - i'm already on my 7th book of 2009, but last year probably only read 25 in total. But when I was a kid I'd probably read 1-2 novels a week.

A few thousand I think. A lot of them kids books though. As a kid I would regularly read 10 novels or so a week. I think the record was four kids/teen novels in one day.
