Anyone fancy posting some? Thread hasnt been done in years

Just heard this one on the radio, pretty much brand new from Louis Vega - no one has donned a whole scene as much as LV has on the soulfull house & garage tip

Stick with it for a great synth solo after seven and a half mins

Ooooh...Heard Tony Humphries play this last few time I've seen him...An edit by a right nice Italian DJ (the sort that sent me a copy (that couldn't be got anywhere else) after a gushing email praising the record - I ike people like that  ) As good as anything soulful released in the last 20 years IMO

the lyrics in this are interesting - i know someone exactly like this, an american, who sometimes visits some friends in London and would come and rave it up all night and then 10, 11am on Sunday put on a suit on go straight to a gospel baptist church in Brixton (just down from Brixton HMP)...i don't know how he does it

Was only thinking yesterday that I hadn't listened to that Lil Louis album for ages.
If you haven't heard it, check it. It really works as an album.
Excited to listen to it now :D

Proper boss tune. First night out ever to a nightclub was the Colliseum in Croydon, with Byron DJing and doing a live PA.

Rocking, reeling, such a happy feeling :D

And since some of you have taken us down the funky route already, I'll bring out the big guns before someone else does::D
    1. Never seen a more recognisable white label than the STONEFACE on one

    2. Did someone mention Stevie? Whallop!

Can't do soulful without a represent from Soulfuric, who ran a purple period of soulful disco remixes, will probably chose this as the OG (Over and Over) makes me want to close my eyes and dream of being in the Continental baths with a towel cheekily round my waist :D

Would easily choose "Soulful and Funky House 2000 to 2004" as my specialist subject on Mastermind. Oh to be 22 again!

I must admit, I'm not even sure what "soulful" house is, so I'm struggling to contribute to this thread (but feel like I could if I understood). Some of the stuff posted so far I wouldn't have thought to label as soulful house.

    How about these?

diana ross - love hangover (frankie knuckles remix)
**don't think about turning this off before the 3 minute mark**

inner life - caught up in a one night love affair

alison limerick - where love lives

Louie Vega Ft Julie McKnight - Diamond Life

    Kathy Sledge - Another Star

    Hardrive - Deep Inside

Was going to throw in First Choice - Let No Man Put Asunder but that's more disco than soulful.

I could go on forever and ever but I will leave it with this one - not sure the purists would call it soulful or garage but if you have ever played one of my mixes you will know I care little for labels and genres !

Gonna blur the lines between soulful and deep here, but this is a bona fide modern heavyweight...Truly truly epic in scope - a full journey in 10 minutes kinda record. Don't think I've ever heard anyone play it anything other than the last song in the set

Did you? Listening right now. I only had it on tape so bought the cd last week. This is the first listen. It's soo good :)

Haven't posted in here for ages! Anyway, I pretty much grew up with Soulful House & Garage, spent a lot of my youth listening to all the BIG american DJ/Producers like Louie Vega, Tony Humphries, Timmy Regisford etc, spinning at places such as Ministry, Cross, Bagleys, we also have plenty of great homegrown jocks like Paul Trouble Anderson, anybody remember the Loft @ HQ's in Camden?

Anyhow, there are still plenty of great sounding Soulful House tracks being produced IMHO, especially from all the BIG players like Louie Vega etc. Couple of links below of some of my current faves!
