Ronaldo to Man City in January

I don't mind if City buy him. They can have him, far as I'm concerned. He wouldn't look anywhere near as good as he does now unless City also buy the right players to play around him. And that's down to team work, skill, good manager etc

Can we have Rooney please?

He's not up there with the all-time greats like Maradona, Pele, Best et al yet.

Bloody good though and might end up one.

We'll see eh.

You can have Rooney if we can have Robinho

:D

I didn't think Robinho was supposed to be that good.
I really rate Rooney and I don't think it was a coincidence that both times we beat you last season, he was missing. Corluka took care of Ronaldo.

tbh I'm not that sure. After city signed him I pulled up a couple of youtube videos and he seemed pretty tasty. Scoring long range goals, going round people in a tricksy way.

I dunno - I suppose we'll see. And, of course, he may be great in Spain but turn out to be crap in the premiership. We've seen that happen many times before.

Yeah maybe we'll keep Rooney for now until we see how your boy works out

I did the youtube thing and reached the same conclusion when we signed Rolando Bianchi:o

Your knowledge of football comes from some highlights on Youtube, christ all fucking mighty.

What if we rename Rooney Roonichio, would that make him more glamorous?
Also if you want to talk about youtube highlights try looking at one of Rooney...

Rooney's gone backwards though. From being mentioned as one of the world's best players a few years back he's taken retrograde steps - it's doubtful many would pay anywhere near as much for him now.

This year's kind of make or break for him. Especially with Ronaldo out, he's got to start to impose himself on games and keep his temper.

Stats-wise yes, but he still looks a right nuisance and confuses the fuck out of centre backs and then Whumpphh!, in comes Ronaldo, Tevez, Scholes etc with the goal.
He's the great ginger hope of England and the media are down on him.

Yeah, he's an awkward lump to play against for sure, but would you really pay 30m+ for what amounts to a slightly enhanced Heskey? And if you read your post again, that exactly what you've made him sound like.

He needs to step his goal scoring rate and assists up. And stop acting the petulant child. Time's going by for him depressingly quickly

Sorry what? He scored 14 in 27 league games last season and 13 assists, in a side with Ronaldo and Tevez.
How the fuck has he been acting a petulant child, he is happy to fucking play anywhere and if anything needed to start being a bit more selfish and lazy. Fuckwits like you who can't see beyond goals completely overlook what he brings to United, a case in point being the FA Cup match against Villa where he came on, grabbed the game by the balls, up the tempo, stretched it out, assisted and scored all in the last 15 minutes.

Rooney is more central to United and the future than Ronaldo and now with Berbatov we will see Rooney be able to play in his more natural deep lying position.

And if some of youse need a youtube compilation, here's

How the fuck has he been acting a petulant child?

I would imagine that was a reference to Wayne's contstant berating of referrees whenever they give a decision against him..... or when he tries to kick lumps out of the opposition when he's been tackled and still jolly cross with the ref for penalising him.

Maybe he's just got an angry gameface?

He has a bit of a temper problem but then so do a lot of them. On the whole, I'm with revol on this one. I think he'd look good in sky blue...would make him look a little less angry;)

I think Revol may be making those stats up as it goes - he only scored 18 across all competitions last year, 12 in the league as far as I can see.

FWIW Rooney's a good player, but he's not developed as well as most would have liked. With Berbatov arriving where does it leave him - are Utd really going to play two up front, or is Rooney going to be shunted around to another position?

yeah sorry i read it wrong. He's got 18 in 42, which isn't at all a bad record considering he was pushed out to the left pretty often and was in a team beside Tevez and Ronaldo. Plus there's the small matter that his game is much more than just goals.

as for developing as well as most would have liked, you mean retard tabloid headline writers who imagined him as the single handed saviour of your shower of shite national side? Well no, i don't think any player could live up to those expectations, not even Roy of the Rovers, but I don't think you'll find a Man Utd fan who thinks Rooney hasn't developed.

I know, but for a 30million striker you expect both goals and glitz.

Where's he going to fit in this year then Revol? For all the talk about him needing to be more selfish, surely Berbatov's going to become the focal point of the attack, at least in Ronaldo's absence.

You really don't know much about this do you? One of the things people have been getting excited about is the fact that with Berbatov providing the focal point Rooney will be able to drop deeper as is his most natural tendency, last season he was shifted around from leading the line to outside left which whilst he was happy to do and still did a job is a kind of waste of his skills. Rooney needed to be more selfish and track back less last year because he was leading the line quite often, with Berbatov here he won't have to.

I don't recall saying this anywhere. I said I don't know much about Robinho. What with him - you know - playing in a different country and all.

Do you regularly go over to Madrid to check him out?

Between youtube and the stadium there is a whole world of medians, perhaps you should google some.
