i suspect, no family nearby, no regular job to be missed from...

if it weren't for work & the like, i could easily go a few days without seeing or speaking to anyone. it isn't necessarily tragic (unless you die, of course).

seems he was found because someone had trying to be getting in touch with him for a few days, but couldn't. So it wasn't like nobody cared.
