He's been around so long he's part of the sound track of my childhood.
I confess I enjoy a lot of his mid/late 70's solo stuff. :o

I'm just embarrassed it took me so long to discover his earlier work. :cool:
 
Heard a song by rod and the Faces called "Country Comforts" and it massively reminded me of The Raconteurs slower ones - check it out, see if you agree!

That's what made it so sad that Rod went bad. :(

I prefer Small Faces myself especially the first Immeadiate LP.

Just the amount of work he's done for the music industry should earn him a knighthood. I met him a few times at the Marquee in his early days along with Long John Baldry.
The performance he last gave at the Diana concert shows he still has it.

I like the really early stuff too, with Jeff Beck, for eg, things like You Shook Me which Led Zep later covered
