rocket attacks on israel?

...not to mention the eight Israeli soldiers killed while the two were being kidnapped.

I thought you were ignoring me? LOL!!!!

You've only told part of the story here Johnny. This is what is commonly known as "narrativising".

So far, I'm the only one to produce hard numbers on this thread. If you dispute them, cite sources with different numbers.

So you feel that because you've posted up some figures that gives you the right to claim the moral high ground?

More cheap point-scoring.

Moono: "No reference anywhere to Hezbollah attacking civilians on July 12th, the day of the kidnapping and murder of IDF personel." As if the killing of 8 soldiers on their own soil was not bad enough, and the kidnapping of two wounded comrades not even more of a heinous act, the truth of the matter is that for 3 weeks prior to that date Hezbollah had been launching Grads into Israeli territory. The information is widely available, pplease do not hesitate to avail yourself to it. In fact, if you merely review initial reports of the kidnapping/murder you will find it mentioned often enough.

So post the links. If there's concrete evidence, where is it ? When asked to provide the satellite imagery of such attacks the Americans came up with nothing. If Hizb'allah attacked civilians on July 12th then where is the Israeli satellite confirmation ?

The Zionist troops were killed inside Lebanon. Their tank hit a mine within forty feet of their own border. Robert Fisk told me, and he lives there.

Moono: Sigh...Has it actually come to this? Moono, please. If you are going to take a stand, at least do some preliminary research on it. I am not in America. where I have files and notes. I am in Israel. Just doing a cursory web search though, I see Wikipedia [not a bonafide as I am the first to offer but in this case it offers info that can easily be authenticated] offers how on the day of the murder/kidnapping, July 12th, Hezbollah began with a diversionary rocket attack on two Israeli towns: Mattah and Even Menachem. 5 people [civilians you will find] were injured. 1 very badly [you will find]. PLease at least pretend to know what you believe in. OK?

Wiki ? Do dry up, Rachamim. Whatever you're looking at now in Wiki will be altered just as soon as someone who knows differently sees it. It's a noticeboard for the speculative.

Don't 'quote' Wiki again unless the reference has survived at least one year, OK ? And don't try to kid anybody that you're a serious researcher. Lol.

So then, where are the authoritative links ? Where are the satellite images ? There aren't any. The Zionists got stuck into Lebanese civilians just as soon as their tank went into orbit.

No one was hit. Hate to burst you dream bubble Moono but one was crippled and 4 others burned. IT can be had, if u, as i ask, simply research it. In addition, your source merely confirms everything I posted. Try some humility soem time please. We can all be civil while discussing contentious subjects I would like to imagine. Before I forget, I must remind you that the Hezbollah DAILY attacks began in mid to late June. not July 12th with the diversionary one.

We're referring to the Hizb'allah plan to open a second front with the Zionists ( that's you, Rachamim. You're 'fighting' because that's what Hizb'allah wanted ) , not the regular occurrences of Zionist air and ground violations of Lebanese sovereignty, occupation of Lebanese territory and assassinations within Lebanon followed by Hizb'allah reprisal attacks.

The UN says not, hasbara boy.

syria iran weapons

its very difficult to find the detail of syria and irans weapons transfer to the degree we know Israel-EU-US ones

here's article which seems to have specific detail of Syrian arming and Koffi Annan recognising Syria-Hez weapons trade as legitimate...

http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,20867,20074368-31477,00.html

TWELVE trucks crossed the Syrian border into Lebanon and rumbled south. When they were stopped at a checkpoint a few days later, the Lebanese Armed Forces found the trucks were brimming with ammunition and weapons, including Katyusha rockets that have been raining down on Israel since July 12.

What happened next, in this little-reported incident in late January, goes to the heart of the conflict between Israel and Lebanon. The convoy was waved on and travelled unhindered to its final destination: Hezbollah terrorists in southern Lebanon.

The Lebanese army said the transportation and storage of ammunition belonged to the "resistance". Once inside Lebanon it was subject to a ministerial policy statement of the Lebanese Government, which considers the "resistance" to be legitimate.

"As the Government of Lebanon has confirmed, the Lebanese Armed Forces has thus not been authorised to prevent further movement of the ammunitions, which had been a common practice for more than 15 years," UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan said in a letter to the Security Council in April. "Hezbollah publicly confirmed that the arms were destined for the group."

used to over Iraq now could use Kurdish and Turkish airspace.

Israel say themselves the cruis missile that hit the ship was not fired by Iran revolutionary guard but guided by the Leb Army Radar.

Moono: Yes, Hezbollah DID wish to engage us but only expected a very, verry limited incursion where they could rack some quick numbers. They were caught with their pants down.

The UN said noone was hurt in the diversionary missile attacks? Offer a source please.

"Hezbollah Regulars." The phrase is an oxymoron. They do have less than 4,000 but they are hardly worthy of the label.

LostExpectation: "Does Kiryat Sh'mona have any bases?" Nope, just a fire brigade.

Well, it doesn't exactly look like that, does it. The amount of rockets they have been able to fire and the fact that Israel hasn't been able to advance more than 2-3 miles into Lebannon.

The only solution for peace in the Middle East is for the Isreal's to go somewhere else, where do you suggest rachamim18??????

Somewhere in the US????????

Not quite sure how convinced I am by this, but there's a guy on ZNet arguing that at least some of Hezbollah's rockets aren't targetted at civilians, but are being aimed at Israeli military and infrastructure, some of which is in cities.
On Tuesday, the BBC’s Katya Adler reported from the northern community of Kiryat Shmona, which has taken the heaviest pounding from Hizbullah rockets and from which many of the local residents have fled over the past month. As she stood on a central street describing the difficult conditions under which the remaining families were living, she had to shout over the rythmic bark of what sounded like an Israeli tank close by firing into Lebanon. She made no mention of what was doing the firing -- and given the censorship laws, my assumption is she cannot. But it does raise the question of how much of a civilian target Kiryat Shmona really is.

Consider also this. Throughout the four weeks of fighting, the BBC have had a presenter and film crew at the top of an area of Haifa known as the Panorama, above the beautiful Bahai Gardens. As the name suggests, from there the film crew have had an unrestricted view of the port and docks below and the wide arc of heavily developed shoreline that stretches up to Acre.

The spot where the BBC presenters have been standing, telling us regularly that they can hear the wail of sirens warning Haifa’s residents to head for the shelters, is in the centre of this sprawling ridge-top city, in one of the most heavily built up and inhabited areas of Haifa. So why have the BBC’s presenters been standing there calmly every day for weeks under the barrage of rockets?

Because all the evidence suggests that Hizbullah has not been trying to hit the centre of Haifa, where it would be certain of inflicting high casualties, whether its rockets were on target or slightly adrift. Instead, as BBC presenters have repeatedly shown us, the overwhelming majority of rockets land either in the mostly-abandoned port area or fall short into the bay -- and on the odd occasion travel a little too far, as one did on Sunday landing on an Arab neighbourhood near the port and killing two inhabitants.

If Hizbullah’s primary goal is to kill as many civilians as possible in Haifa, it seems to be going about it in a very strange manner indeed -- unless we are to believe that none of its rockets could be fired the extra 1km needed to hit central Haifa. Instead, as is clear from the view shown by BBC cameras, the port includes many sites far more “strategic” than the roads, bridges, milk factories and power stations Israel is destroying in Lebanon: it has the oil refinery, the naval docks and other installations that, yes, I cannot mention because of the censorship laws.
