i was never into the "student comedy" of newman/baddiel..
really like what newmans doing now tho..as others have said if you like mark thomas you wont be disappointed.

did anyone see that doc from 3/4 years ago on newman? this was before history of oil came out and from what i gather newman was all but written off at that time,he was reculsive in the extreme while baddiel was all over the telly/considered the greatest thing since sliced bread.

the doc was mostly focussing on newman writers block when he was struggling to write a novel about the protest movement/globalisation.did that book ever come out? any good?

shame he is a womaniser..guess he is making up for his reculsive years

i was a bit attracted to him in the doc, i like smart, vulnerable,scruffy and non cocky men..(maybe he reminded me of a writer friend i carried a torch for for a long time,i remember urging said friend to watch the programme in fact)long live the underdog!!

i can be reculsive and suffer from writers block too ,so i identified with rob newman a bit in the programme i think.(im not claiming to have his level of talent by the way, or any talent)

the person he was in the doc, in his depressed/reculsive phase touched me,the politics too..not his years playing wembley with baddiel

why do soooo many people WORSHIP mass success???..even now rob newman is way too successful for me, i respect what he does a lot.. but "success" is a massive, massive turn off for me.hope he is happy tho.thats what matters.
