road users hating hierarchy

see i don't understand this concept of no i'm nto going to brake for you cos there's summit behind me... it seems to negate the diea that if you hit them and then have to stop (which you do if oyu hit them, morally and leagally) then the thing behind youwill have to cope with that and the chances are it'll do it less well than if you slow down and stop in a controlled fashion than if it's as the result of hitting something ....

don't make sense...

are those tenths of a second really worth that much to you?

Pedestrian vrs Car
Pedestrian vrs Van
Pedestrian vrs Lorry
Pedestrian vrs Bus

In all these situations I have a pretty good idea who will win.
Is it really worth pedestrians taking chances with traffic to save a few seconds?

Whether I’m a pedestrian or a car driver I assume that (despite the fact they may have passed a driving test) every other road user is an idiot. Far better to err on the side of caution. This is even more important as a pedestrian. Never assume that a person will break simply because you want them to and that they probably should.

First rule of survival EVERYONE else on the road is a complete total and utter unpredictable moron who would not know what a Highway Code is.

I always found that driving a small pickup truck was the most stress-free thing to drive - everyone gets out of your way!
