I just read the article. When I met him I assumed he was loaded.
Upsetting to learn that he got ripped off and didn't get rich off his radio.

Explains why he was doing a public appearance for that project I guess. I just thought he loved innovation so was more than happy to open an Innovative Centre.

Sounds like a great inventor but a poor businessman. Clearly Somone who has helped millions of people worldwide who were less fortunate than him for little return.
there is a biography of him out there.

PS I imagine his funeral will go like clockwork.

I expect some practical jokes during the service. Apparently he was a wind up merchant.

The clockwork powered electrics idea seems to have become common, clockwork torches seem to be everywhere, for example. He was, clearly, a better inventor than businessman.

    RIP Trevor.

Who do they put on the telly now when they need a scientist? At one time the choice was between him and Helen Sharman.

I’m sad we don’t have many celebrity scientists and inventors. At least Bayliss invented something decent rather than a flimsy vacuum cleaner or something like that.
