Bloody hell. Only 46.
Cranberries singer Dolores O'Riordan dies
No way. I was only just listening to the cranberries again for the first time in ages. I really liked them back in the early 90s. 46 is so bloody young
Very sad news
RIP. Condolences to her family and friends.
Whoa - that was unexpected
(One of my dubious claims to fame was that my band were offered a support slot with the Cranberries in Sheffield (about ‘92) when they were still obscure but turned it down since the invite came from our ex-guitarist who we weren’t well disposed towards at the time. Tenuous I know...)
Wow. This is a shock. RIP.
1993 was when they really took off. At the time I would have dismissed them as rubbish, and not even funny like the Frank and Walters were, but I'm getting all nostalgic about them now. . . I last heard them on a Reeling in the Years ep, one from, yes you guessed it, 1993.
Condolences to all affected x
Big shock I did like the cranberries back in the day , sad to hear this , 46 is shockingly young.
Fuck me, this year's shaping up to be worse than the great cull of 2016. And still cliff richard lives.
He’ll outlive us all.
It'll be him and the cockroaches
I hope it wasn't drugs.
Hell of a voice.
No Need To Argue was one of the albums on permanent rotation in the car when I was a kid. Dolores' voice always went straight through me, even before I knew anything at all about music I could tell that there was something special going on there.
Only 46, she must have been barely out of short trousers when the Cranberries took off.
So sad. I hope it wasnt suicide as she was troubled. RIP Delores - Ireland was so proud of you '
Sad, sad news.
Ah man, she was really suffering with back problems so hope it's not a case of to much pain killers.
Very sad, RIP.
Unexpectedly shaken by this. RIP Dolores.
Have to confess I thought she died years ago. Sad news.
Blimey. Too young. I never really got into their music at the time, as far as buying CDs wise. But they seemed to be a constant in the mid 90s and I didnt' mind really.
I just turned the telly on and heard this and am feeling quite shaken/shocked.
Logged in here to see what people were saying.
How very shocking and sad
Such a young age.
I've only got a few of the songs but listening to them now.
I loved her voice. She was great with Jah Wobble.
