Right, can we get a couple of things straight?

Only thing that the past La Liga and EPL season proves is that the EPL champions will be one of four teams whilst La Liga champions will be one of two teams. From that we can say that at least the EPL will be more open.

It used to be like that in the prem until about 2003. It was always Man U or Arsenal. Then ou used to get a variety of teams in 3rd/4th. Abramovich's money, plus Liverpool ceasing to underachieve, saw the end of all that...

4 teams? Arsenal are still way off a Championship winning team at the moment.

Just wanted to mention that the Championship is the 4th highest attended league in Europe after the EPL, Bundesliga & La Liga(and above Serie A!!!)..........so just for that I think English league football should be applauded! :D

I do think the OP has a fair point about the Liga's much greater strength in depth. There seems to be a new Spanish name in the champions league mix each season, e.g. villareal this year. In England it's always the same 4.

to be honest though thats beacuse theres like 7 teams all of equalish level rather then theres 5 teams better the everton/villa about. A lot of it depends on what south americans the mid table clubs have managed too find this year that a big club hasn't poached yet as well. Or who the big clubs have let out on loan.

La liga is a lot more technical and pretty then epl(thats the official name these days by the way) but epl is quicker with more heart, more determination and is a lot more fun to watch & we have a very high skill level as well.

Barca arsen't unbeatable but no team has ever been really. Look at the abosulutly amazing brazilian teams, amazing skill and talent, now look at thier defence! Non existent. But if you have the likes of pele, zico and socrates pulling the strings, who gives a flying fuck.

Barca are the best team in the world at the minute. Man united, chelsea, liverpool aren't far behnd though, real madrid are(as are arsenal) and no other spanish teams are anywhere near the level of those lot. We have the better league.

edited to add. rd those tv rights things don't bare in mind l;eague cup and fa cup, fairly sure spurs had a few more games then us in those comps, so increased the number of live games they were in through that.
