Rice: "democracy in the wrong direction"

Maybe something to do with russian security services being caught blowing up apartment buildings to get Putin into power in the first place?

Putin is a CUNT. Just the archetypal tyrannical problem-reaction-solution expert CUNT.

Sounds just like Bush then.

Putin: apartment blocks
Bush: 9/11

Putin: Chechnya
Bush: Afghanistan & Iraq

Putin: Corrupted to fuck and influenced by local oilmen billionaires
Bush: Er...

Why could you not believe it? Putin has taken away the right for Russians to vote in local govenours, they are now appointed by the Kremlin. There is scarce independent press in Moscow. The Duma is more kangaroo legislative body than anything.

Its been going on much longer than the Hamas situation.
For once I have to agree with mears. I think there are very real reasons for concern, and I think the phrase "going in the wrong direction" means moving away from free press and free elections.

How is it better?
Freer speech. Freer press. Fairer elections. More honest and competant government agencies. More competitive marketplace. More effective law enforcement. Etc., etc. In every way, that is.

My question to you: Are you so stupid that you honestly did not know all this? Or are you one of the majority of lefties that thinks that leftie lies are somehow both righteous and clever?

Please let me know if you need the particulars explained.
I do not need your explanations. I have already explained the situation to you. You obsess over "hypocricy" instead of living in the real world because your mind is immature and bent. You have a mental disease. The cure is reason, morality, and Grace. Good luck.

I believe you forgot other necessary 'cures' such as a childish sense of moral superiority, empathy lobotomy, hypocracy detection bypass and a fox sponsored gullability implant...

Hamas is full of comitted socially active democrats. They may intend to wipe Israel of the map and install Sharia but they hold all believers to be equal before God and if the faithful vote them out they'll be the loyal opposition.

I play cards with a bunch of dubious Russians. They'd tell you Russia has flirted with this dangerous democracy notion in the past but always opted for autocracies of one kind or another. The rich are ruthless thieves, the people are serfs who accept this as God's/The Parties will.

Russia is not like America, it's a older system and Americans are only just starting to emulate it.

You're funny :)

I think he did.

Are you a religious person yam?
I don't think he is - but I was really just commenting on the fact that R.Y. and Grace are not two phrases I would naturally associate with each other.

I think that's Grace in the god-botherin' sense of the word. It means 'doing nothing unless told to'. Hope this clarifies things. :)

Yeah I agree... I think he was talking about this:

Unless he was referring to Kelly Grace off that 'Grace Under Fire' shite sitcom.

But I can't see how she could help me. She a Republican, yam?

Yes the capitailization suggests the concept Divine Grace. That can mean the Catholic that only through the love of God you will be lead to the narrow path of the righteous though to the Calvinist you're obviously one of the damned and are beyond hope of Salvation.

You might well be right.

I took it to mean how you deal with your fellow human beings.
