Not sure what to think of it - as much as BLM is full of the kinds of people described in the OP, it will rub people up the wrong way and create controversy (although that's Anonymous' MO to a T), and if I was a hacker wanting to use my skills to participate in direct action to further a progressive cause, BLM would be fairly low on my list, it would be much better go after Daesh, for example although there are some Anons who take it onto themselves to bring down Daesh sites.

It's not a disaster as a concept . Handing it over to people without properly training them in land management , or without providing them with funding and credits to aquire machinery etc to exploit the resource efficiently will of course lead to disastrous results . But that doesn't have to happen . It can be done in a much more organised and efficient manner . it can work .

I'll look it up when I get home, but there have been pilot schemes, apparently, in which land is restored to the original owners, but is not broken up into small plots. Instead the larger unit is preserved, and the old white owner is retained as farm manager.
