Rhodes Must fall Oxford leader, ‘We will give tip when you return the land’

But bullying waiters doesnt help.

Land reform tricky problem subsistence farming really isnt the answer seize the land the surviving farmers will fuck off taking their knowledge contacts and credit ratings to be welcomed with open arms by other countries.
You now have the land but no economy
...and we all know what happened when Mugabe confiscated all the farms...

Yer quote above doesn't have any obvious relevance to the RMF activist under discussion.
Try harder, I'd say that both the note writer and the Facebook poster are representative of the political class that fannon is critiquing in that quote, both are using land as an abstract to enrich and entrench their positions, the stuff about The fetishisation of the artisan class may be less relevant but I left it in for context plus editing on a phone is a pain.

Edit to add I feel he forfeited the right to self describe himself merely as a RMF activist when he used the phrase drown them in white tears, publicly, politically and personally. There's an agenda being pushed there that supersedes the removal of a few statues.

No, you try harder. Yer man's studying at Oxford, which costs a fucking fortune, and not studying land economy I bet. As a rhodes scholar, as Clinton was, he's tipped for the top, not for some middle class post, he's being elevated to the ruling class.

Yes, this Hate Monger could go all the way, at first I thought, Nah, he hasn't got the Personality, he is charmless, brainless, no-one would follow him but then I thought of Malema and his Gang of Hate Mongers.

He's not my man and neither yours,
he's already ruling class if he's at Oxford but the same paucity of thought identified by fanon before they were born is writ large in their manifesto.
fanon was on the money wrt the way post apartheid sa has unfurled, the glacial pace of economic reform, the failure to adress endemic poverty and the brutal suppression of the striking miners the transfer of power from one elite to another the wretched of the earth could have been written with sa in mind

I thought it was an Inkatha gesture mixed with a quinelle but GIS is throwing up a blank to that line of enquiry, Noticed the NOI dress code tho

Obviously, taking the land from a small number of privileged whites and giving it to an equally small number of privileged blacks isn't going to solve anything.
Other examples of where land reform screwed things for everyone but the elitist of elites: Stalin's Kulak genocide in the Ukraine and Mao's "Great Leap Forward". Both resulted in millions dead in the resulting famines.

inclosure acts
The Highland clearances too, and at a pinch there is also the Irish famine which could have been either prevented or at least heavily mitigated had the Irish not been forced to export their food to the British. However the thing about the land reforms of Mugabe, Stalin and Mao is they were all done in the name of the people, rather than for the benefit of rich British landowners.

Would you say the language used in the exhibit A the Facebook post closer resembles the rhetoric of minister farakhan or that of David Cameron?

if you end up starving to death I think the difference between a commissar Mugabe thugs the empire etc is moot:rolleyes:.
tbf not that many people actually starved to death on Mugabe watch due to food aid

I am interested to see you suggest farrakhan's views resemble the sort of thing ff was talking about.

South Africa's society is unfair and the land situation is due to a history of racism and imperialism.
Now how you resolve that is way above my pay grade.
seizing the land won't work been tried was a disaster.

pretty much thats insanity trying the same thing and expecting different results:(.
Everything you do works first time or you don't bother with it? You stripped and reassembled weapons fine *first time*? Your first shag was really good? You never ever had to practice before doing something successfully? I don't believe you.
