I voted toffee, but the best thing about Revels is the mix and never being quite sure what flavour you're getting next.

yes you can. The fake minstrel is like a discus, the fake malteser is like a malteser, the icky centres are smaller and a different shape, and if you press them they squish a bit(plus if you have nails you can poke them to see if they are soft) the problem with these ones is the toffee one is ok, the peanut ones are peanut covered in chocolate shape.
Sometimes I did get it wrong though so I just stopped buying them coz the icky ones are majorly icky imo!

Callie, you have icky choice in chocolate(imho) but at least I know where to send any icky ones I get bought now

Lol I do the same as you - I can guess what theyre going to be although I sometimes mistake a peanut one for a toffee yuk! Maltesers are usually the big round rones, toffee ones can be irregularly shaped and bobbly, coffee and orange ones are similar in size/shape but I like them both so I dont care which is which

I had some chocs in my tea break but I keep reading threads about food and I want more!!!

I believe The Great Theatre, the late Mr Burbage's house where the Chamberlain's Men first played, was commonly accounted the best centre for revels by both Court and City personages and the groundlings. (IIRC it closed after the seditious performance of Mr Thomas Nashe's Isle of Dogs).

EXACTLY - wot moomoo said. Tried Revels the other week after missing them for a year (out of the country don'tcha know) and I was horrified to see that they have cheapened the mixture by bunging in a load of FUCKING raisins

Raisins are all very well and good in my cereal in the morning, but not in bags of bloody Revels I'm going into rehab and starting a Starbar revival...

The coffee flavour is like licking someone's arsehole.

And what's wrong with that then? Eh? Eh?
