Plague Dogs.


Now that is dark n disturbing (I thought Return to Oz was shit even as a kid )

I read the book. Not scary or disturbing at all as a book, instead a really uplifting tale about two dogs who'd been damaged because of medical experiments escaping the Lab and going on through a perilouse journey that ends in them having everything turn out right. The doggy viewpoint works brilliantly in this tal IMO. The only dog-viewpoint tale that even comes close is Herbets book Fluke

The film is nothing like the book. The book is happy.
