What on earth did britain do to get over 20 years of thatcher and blair?

The worst of it is that there's no end in sight. We're doomed to have Thatcherist government policy nomatter who notionally holds the office of PM now.

Blair is possibly more dangerous now because he has become a 'loose cannon'. He is on his own trying to earn a living so he gives his audience what they want. There is no-one to attempt to hold him back now and not even the slightest need for him to moderate his expressed views as he doesn't have to play the party politics game within what was his own party. I wish he would go to live in America. It might mean that he would appear less frequently in our media as an embarrassment to us.

I predict that Blair will move steadily even further to the right under American influence to the point where even his former supporters in the UK will have doubts about him.

I think it's deeply disturbing that an ex-Prime Minister, who is widely and rightly despised for having brought about an illegal and disastrous war, should be making it his business, after being appointed a fucking peace envoy, to agitate for a war even more wicked and stupid and dishonest than the last one. He really is a shameless bastard.
