Oh no, I'm really sorry to hear that. I have been loads of times (15-20 I would say), and it's always been good. I wouldn't have recommended it otherwise. I'm really sorry you and your dad had such a bad experience

From your description it sounds like the Cafe Mode that I know and love has been crossed with Fawlty Towers

I thought my memory may have been harsh on Porters, but a quick review of sites on Google suggests I'm not. No decent full reviews from established sources, but plenty of negative reaction from tourists and pre-theatre diners about microwaved food of low quality.

You pays your money, takes your choice I guess. But there's far better locally.

Nope - I hated it too. Only been once though, and several years ago now. Never again.

Cafe Pacifico on Langley Street for me - excellent Mexican food at reasonable price, wide range of tequila. As recommended by Los Lobos!
