Didn't Paul 'Cunt' Daniels have a hand in that?

Dirty Bastard

Yeah. I had blocked it out of my memory until tp reminded me of it the other week. WTF was it about?!

What was that pen thing that taught you how to write? Ghost Writer or something?

Good question. I only watched Requiem .... because i was a huge PWEI fan, and clint did the music. Thought it was excellent.

If Lilja4ever is indeed better I will definately check it out - what is it about?

Better is an interesting term, in this case. If memory serves (and believe me I've tried to forget), the basic plot is that of a teenage girl (Lilya) in an ex-Stalinist armpit somewhere in Russia, surrounded by wasters. She gets herself people-traffiked into what she thinks will be a better life in Scandinavia, only to find out that it's far, far worse. Unremittingly bleak, and without giving anything away, the ending is utterly wretched and unhappy.

Lilja forever is more depressing really because you feel that she has been duped and sucked into hell, the characters in RFAD are more guilty of their fate. Mind you the combination of music and image in the climaxes of both are stunning.

Anyone seen Red Road yet, this is really scary all the way through, you just know there's badness around the corner.

i wouldnt like to choose really..but if forced i would say lilja forever is bleaker cos it is filmed in a more realistic manner..i tried to watch "a hole in the heart" by lukas moodyson and i just turned it off..will finish watching at some point..but those relentless sex scenes just made me feel ILL, SICK and DIRTY(the plot involves a dad who makes cheapie porn in his flat and his goth son)
:(

the film about G8 demos in sweden is a straightforward interview with particpants..i didnt watch it all, didnt draw me in all that much..his new film is called "container" anyone seen it? its meant to be very experimental/not a straight narrative at all..
