Interesting replies. Thanks Goes to show that the the whole systems just a bit fucked really... it's the buck passing mentality that gets me but anyway...

... update on proceedings - even though I filled out the form last month it appears not to have made it's way to the 'traffic administration' centre (or something) yet... because apparently it takes between 2-6weeks to do that I'll know that my case has been actioned when I recieve an acknowledgement through the post. I bet my hat that never happens.

Got the information now from Lynne Featherstone's office (BTW have to slip in that she's a Lib Dem), astonishingly Lambeth is only about half way down the Boroughs table - when called 3/6 police stations in Lambeth answered the phone (including Brixton as it happens) - better than 12 other boroughs (including Southwark, Wandsworth & Lewisham). Details by station are:

Clapham 2 mins then cut off
Vauxhall 5.10 then cut off
Streatham answerphone
Gipsy Hill 0.02 minutes
Cavendish Road 0.1 minutes
Brixton 0.15 minutes
