remember what you were listening to 20 years ago?

The Smiths, Fine Young Cannibals, Depeche Mode,It's Immaterial, Bronski Beat, Wah!, Janet Jackson, Pet Shop Boys, New Order

I used to listen to Bob Jovi - Slippery When Wet on my way to school football matches on the coach. I was 10/11 at the time.

Age of Chance and a lot of the other C86 bands also Was (Not Was), The Brilliant Corners, Erasure (!), Cabaret Voltaire, Talulah Gosh, The Groove Farm.

Ah the days of jangly guitars and funky electronic stuff :)

similar to many people already posted, I was just about to go to uni and emerging from the blinkers of a rock and metal only teenage diet into indie/alt/older rock and reggae...I also started smoking too much.

Re Curiosity Killed The Cat, went to see them (at ULU, I think) back in those days.
They weren't up to much.

Saw Simply Red in 1985 when they were almost trendy, also at ULU, and The Blow Monkeys, Fairground Attraction, Sandie Shaw, Sigue Sigue Sputnik, Mark Stewart, Tackhead, The Pogues and the much under-rated Win all around '85-87.

Hmm.. who else? James, Senseless Things, Voice of the Beehive, Zodiac Mindwarp and the Love Reaction, Head, The Shamen, 23 Skidoo, Head of David, Das Psycho Rangers.
