Remake of Logan's Run

I stand by pitch black as a perfect example of the sci fi b movie. Vin Deisel does well, as he is playing an emotionless killer.
I hated the tedious inevitability with which all the supporting cast were killed. Imam didn't seem too fussed about all those boys, did he? No tension, just 'action-adventure' at its worst.

like clockwork. Even to the cliche that the cowardly englishman got one of the most gruesome deaths.

Also, this is a scary alien, is it?

Cos it looks - it looks - like a cunt in a tinfoil box, mate.

:D

I saw Logan's Run for the first time last night!

Great film, but.

When he went back, I was sooo hoping for a bleak and dismal ending, with Logan's brutal slaughter brought down by his own fatally flawed optimism. And humankind relentlessly doomed.

I wasn't expecting a world-leading computer to bork because someone gave the wrong answer. And for everything to turn out all peaceful and happy and blah.

The series was very wooden but I'm guessing it managed to bring in some of the book's ideas? <orders book>

I don't think The Island rips it off especially - the theme of being stuck indoors and lied to about the outside world is very common.
