Luke Haines has a new one out in May. Take a guess at what the subject matter is this time
I'm looking forward to the new Fennesz album, Becs, which is coming soon. It's apparently a follow-on of sorts from Endless Summer which is alright by me. The one track available for listening right now is a belter: https://soundcloud.com/#editionsmego/fennesz-the-liar-emego-165
That came out in 2003!
The Rebel "Still Taping After All These Years".i listened to it last night but people were talking, i remember thinking it good.
Sleaford Mods new one of course!
The new Liars album is sounding very decent to my ears: http://www.npr.org/2014/03/16/286421233/first-listen-liars-mess
They would appear to have entirely re-invented themselves once again and are now synth-pop supremes!
Shellac's Dude incredible is out in September
Mozart's Sister album out in August.
aah, ther's a new Steven James 'Singing' Adams album out on September 1
I need to get myself the new Fucked Up album. What I've heard sounds like a rollicking ear-assault.
A new Labradford album, of sorts, coming in September. I hope it gets a UK release.
Anyone heard the new Land Observations yet?
fuck me, theres a new D#Angelo record!
its on spotify too
"Black Messiah" - hes a twat but i love him
14 year wait is over.....
Although the Clan as a whole* have a new LP out, I'd inevitably be disappointed that it's not as good as 36 Chambers. However, Ghostface also has a new solo album out which I'm more tempted by. Looking at the tracklist, AZ seems to have replaced Raekwon as Ghost's go-to sparring partner.
i read that whereas there was only one copy of the last album this new one comes preloaded into some speakers or sumfink like that - you have to buy a set of speakers to hear it iirc
Are you talking about Ghost solo or the Wu together?
I've just realised that I didn't include a reference to the asterisk I put in that post. I meant to say that even the late great ODB features, more than ten years on from his passing.
Gruff Rhys is releasing a solo single for Valentine's day. I'm particularly interested in it because it features Dafydd Ieuan, making it his first work with a fellow Super Furry since Dark Days/Light Years, nearly six years ago.
new hey colossus...
Cheers for the heads up
Bill Wells and Aiden Moffat are releasing The Most Important Place in the World on the 16th March, a follow up to their excellent Everything's Getting Older.
Promising preview track here.
(love detective, if you're still around I thought you might be interested)
also The Body and Thou have a collaboarative LP coming soon
'You, Whom I Have Always Hated' that sounds awesome
and in similar vein
Primitive Man's 'Home Is Where The Hatred Is' is due next month
probably some nice ambient stuff with field recordings of flowers and so on too
Just listened to the new Mumdance and Logos album, Proto (Spotify link)
It's class. Loads of nods to rave and boshin' techno from the 90s while sounding as fresh as anything.
ska invita - You mentioned waiting for this (way back in 2013!). I think you might like it
Mumdance is definitely on the same page - look forward to giving that a blast
I found it a bit dull. Beats and bleeps and lots of interesting dark pad sound effects which I like sure, but no melody or substance to anything. Is it best to be high listening to it?
I'm at work and my only "high" is a bit too much coffee.
This is fucking excellent, even better than Cuckoo Live Life Like Cuckoo
New Godspeed in March (31st I think)
Asunder, sweet and other distress
Russian shoegazers Pinkshinyultrablast release their debut LP on Friday.
