Oh, looking forward to that.
I think it's already out, but I'm looking forward to hearing it, so I hope this counts.
Omar - The Man
Laura Marling's new album streaming at the Guardian
Mick Harvey's new album Four (Acts of Love) is excellent, easily his best solo LP.
Oh boy am I looking forward to this. The use of Surf Solar and Olympians in the Olympic Opening Ceremony last year were moments of genius.
I'm not mad keen on the new single though: https://soundcloud.com/alltomorrowsparties/fuck-buttons-the-red-wing
Sebadoh are releasing a new album in autumn.
Cian Ciaran (SFA) is releasing the follow up to the excellent Outside In in September.

Looking forward to this more than anything else for a long time....well a month or two
The Craig Bratley mix is the one I am most excited about but all the mixes sound fantastic
According to Allmusic, ethereal Icelandic soundscapists múm have a new LP out next month. Oooh goodie.
New Darren Hayman out, sort of a spin off piece from last years (amazing) The Violence.
Also anyone heard the new Luke Haines yet?
Debut album's by Asia Argento and Factory Floor coming soon too. The FF one promises to be good, the AA interesting anyway (probably going to be a load of old toss though)
Yamantaka//Sonic Titan - Uzu
I just listened to the full leak of Doris on Youtube. What I find interesting about Sweatshirt is that he makes it hard for you to tell where his lines break but the lyrics are extremely vivid, especially in Chum:
Something sinister to it
pendulum swinging slow, a degenerate moving
through the city with criminals, stealth, welcome to enemy turf
harder than immigrants work, “golf” is stitched into my shirt
get up off the pavement brush the dirt up off my psyche
He definitely puts more emphasis on the honesty of what he tells you and the disturbing imagery his lyrics evoke, less so on the anger/energy of his music. He maintains pretty much same voice tone throughout, which adds to the darkness of the record, not the fake Yeezus darkness though, the genuine darkness.
still havent heard the Luke yet - tho the bits I have make it sound like just another LH album.
The FF is streaming on the Guardian site now - http://www.theguardian.com/music/musicblog/2013/sep/02/factory-floor-album-stream
The album is pretty damn good. BGeen listening to it all week.
Cheers for the heads up
