i've wanted a pair of the classic redwing boots for ages, but i've never got round to getting a pair cos of the price, i mean - they're not *that* expensive, really, but i've always tried to go for a cheaper alternative or just gone without. but i'm bored of always scrimping on the price when it comes to footwear - it's just not worth it in the end. so i'm thinking of finally shelling out for some. but are they worth it? do they last long? do the keep your feet cosy and the elements out? are they comfy?

Only just seen this thread but woflie bought a pair of redwing boots from TKMaxx about a month ago. He too had always wanted a pair It may be worth checking out any TKMaxx that you come across They are 8135 Classic American Workboots.

I don't like them much but then I'm not a bloke.

They look nice. I have a pair of their moccasin toe boots which I like well enough, and they are mega sturdy. Prefer your style though (are they the Iron Rangers?)
