bring back the music hall![]()

tho, if it was done poperly, being a bit of a bus ride away wouldn't matterIt could work* amazingly as a cabaret place

The old Junction is most certainly dead. The old pub has been extensively refurbished, with the upstairs and the 'side' buildings turned into flats. What's the Junction doing these days?
Well, it's not just about the promoters; it's also about any licensing/noise restrictions and the attitude of the owners - and whether they want to invest in the pub.If it was such a good prospect, it wouldn't have been up for sale three or four times in the past ten years and "good promoters" would be falling over themselves to get hold of a central London five hundred+ capacity venue.
Unsound tried to change the stairs layout by making them accessible from the main dancefloor. The council turned up and said it was against the terms of the licence (maybe something to do with fire exits?) so they were changed back.
if there's only one stair access to upstairs then it has to function as the fire exit. That means not leading through the main downstairs room.

)Is it open at the moment then, or closed?![]()
It's 'Planet Nollywood' now (Nigeria's hollywood apparently). Big happy events most weekends from what I can see. The place looks revived and busy, possibly a rather different vibe than in the past, but better than the decaying underused place it almost became. I miss the Red Star but this Nollywood effort is a good one as far as I can tell.
