Yes, but I think those emails go straight into landfill. I've never succeeded getting bags via that route. Apparently you get four rolls a year. They've given me less than that in ten years after initially saying they didn't do recycling on estates. Sometimes Ms T gives me some as they think she's multiple occupancy, otherwise we go to the library because emailing produces a big fat nothing. I've asked the blokes who collect the bags and they always say "next week" but next week never comesAlso the whole 'sign up for recycling rewards' is rubbish too. When it started up I signed up, clicked all the links and it's an American website offering reward vouchers in dollars in the US.
Lambeth is pants in every department.
Quite!Brains!....bbrraaaaiiiiins!
Glad it's not just me that has that experience. Was starting to get paranoidYes, but I think those emails go straight into landfill. I've never succeeded getting bags via that route. just pick them up from your local library - easy.![]()
The Town Hall reception gives them out as well. Ive always got mine from library.
Ooh, is that their new plan? Where my parents are they get a big bin for recycling and a little sack for non recycling stuff. Which is a bit of a pain, but can see their point.I get mine from the library. I understand pretty much any council building will yield a roll if you ask nicely.
That said I got a special orange bag delivered to me recently and was told to use that instead of placcy bags so as to be even more recycley and conservey. It's a lot smaller than a sack.
Makes sense I suppose....No. they've given me a sturdy reuseable carry bag thingy for recycling which is smaller than the orange recycle sacks. I'm to just empty it into our communal recycling bin and reuse it.
No, Metropolitan.Don't you live on an Estate managed by United Resident's Housing?
I wouldn't mind if it was bigger.
