Records that take you right back

PWEI's Looks of the Lifestyle - memories of the Pot of Beer in Brum, late nights in Moseley and jumping the fence to get into Kings Heath Park :)

so was Robert John Godfrey really shagging his elfin young guitarist?

:D I wouldn't be surprised, mate... I always sensed a special tenderness between them on stage - maybe off stage too. Feck knows.

They've relaunched themselves of late, BTW. Interesting projects in the pipeline.

You may... trust me, I'm an Enidus ;)

I didn't post a link cause we're incredibly busy at work, feeding the government its media coverage, but here you go - all the info you need. RJ's beard is as lush as ever, you'll be pleased to note.

You can't help loving RJG when you see him...such a big, cuddly old tart, bless 'im.

Back on topic, every time I hear "How Does It Feel" (7" single version, please) by Slade I'm 7 or 8 again and annoying my brother.

Hunky Dory always takes me back to being in the car with my dad and brother the day after my mum died, driving over to our house to collect the cat . Looking out of the window and trying not to cry.

I don't play it much anymore.

PWEI - but Box Frenzy.

downloaded about two months ago and every time I listen to Evelyn, I am back at Xmas 87.

Going to put it on now...;)

Absolutely by Madness.
Reminds me of my first Crombie overcoat
first pair of brogues. A fantastic album.
Sounds as good today as it ever did.

The The, Lloyd Cole, amongst bands that take me back.

Also Culture Shock. In fact any British anarcho or US hardcore stuff.

Black & White - The Stranglers
Germ Free Adolescence - X-Ray Spex
That's Life - Sham 69

All take me back to my musical 12 year old youth. :D

a lot of Beatles songs take me whoooooooosh! straight back, it's kinda scary!

they were the only pop music we were allowed to listen to when i was younger cos of my psycho step-dad's wierdo anti-popular elitist stance about just about everything tastewise.

um....the Beatles were popular you fuckin nobber
