Recommend some early house and garage plz

You had this on one of your bootsale mixes init? You still doing those podcasts? I really like the one i heard.
not for a while - they're recordings of shows i do for the local community radio station, and i haven't bothered doing a run lately. might do at some point soon though...

not that early (94/5), but this was the stuff i started my clubbing days dancing to...

(shit - probably not heard this in 12 years... but remember it like yesterday. and it's fucking sweet...)

lets not forget... jomanda - make my body rock :D:cool: fuckin love that tune Manchester Thunderdome '89:cool:

Soem stuff

Shawn Cristopher-
Kim English -
This tune Learn 2 Luv - fucking blinding!!!!!!

Loads of Full Intention stuff worth hearing etc, but spper calls, etc
laters, etc

I ran out of ones that i can remember the name of! :D

So bar digging out my girls FM tapes I cannae help you nae more pipistrel!

OK smaller hifi removed from bedroom and repositioned in the living room. Have located the 'Girls FM' tape and it's working and hasn't spontaneously combusted or been eaten by the player *yet* *touchwood*.

Will compile some kind of tracklisting but be warned I'm fairly sure there is a Celine Dion remix on here somewhere :D

later.... OK that tape wasn't the one with the Celine Dion remix. However it was one where the DJ didn't mention any of the tracks being played apart from MK - Always

Now why didn't someone tell my 12 year old self that labelling tapes solely with a number is not going to help that much in the future when you want to try and find a tape. Especially when there are over 150 of them

some from my record box .... all wkd house and garage. Enjoy xx

i've never really understood how people can hear stuff on mad Mike's Happy Records and still think Jeff Mills was the 'talent' behind UR

Dvina & Yolanda are such total and utter classics (actually, i'm working on a track with a Davina sample at the moment :))

NB: always preferred the insane 'live' mix of living for the night myself.

ahhhhha! here's the reese mix, but not as good as the one i'm meaning as it hasn't got the full vocal (for some weird reason the best verion doesn't appear to be up on youtube)

such a total "lights on - last song of the night" track :)

i don't think people do think that - they are both awesome talents who went in different directions and did their own thing. i wish i'd seen their reiunion a couple of years ago at sonar - apparently it was incredible but it wasn't recorded. :(

i've always been interested to know what happened to Blapps Posse.

As far as i'm aware all the stuff on Blapps records were about the first to ever cross breakbeats with rapping & techno - producing what could be regarded as the progenitor to hardcore (for some annoying reason none of the original releases are up on youtube :()

(think the orig of this came out in 1990)

particularly loved them as i think every record they ever did had a 'video clash' sample :D

anyway, just thought i'd throw that into da mix.
