Well, my blackberry wine was fairly successful (very nice tasting, quite sweet, tho i'm not quite sure how alcoholic... think it might get stronger with age tho), so i'm thinking of making another batch, seeing how (relatively to my expectations) easy it was... thing is i dunno what to make it from...
i've got the general recipe i used for the blackberries, which just says "any type of fruit", and a couple of old books that give recipes for all sorts of things ranging from rosehips to wheat to parsnips (mostly requiring much longer fermenting times than the recipe my friend gave me tho)...
so, what's a good fruit/vegetable to make wine from, that's cheap and plentifully available at this time of year (given there's not really anything worth picking in march)?
(greengrocers near me seem to throw out lots of bananas and oranges, but i don't think i've seen either of those in a wine recipe...)
