I liked "Der Krieger und die Kaiserin" (The Princess & The Warrior), I thought Goodbye Lenin was a bit dull but apart from that and Das Boot I can not think of any other German films... except the 1920's films Metropolis, that is a pretty cool film.

Yes, it's by Fassbinder. Great film.
