Recommend me some dub please

If ya liking this and wanting it trippy, checkout African Headcharges early stuff,"Off the beaten track" "enviromental studies" and "my life from a hole in the ground"or for a good sampler of thier early stuff theres a comp called "Shrunken Head" all on the ON-U sound label

Yep. Drastic Season too; it was the first On-U that I ever heard/bought.

:)

Has anyone said UB40 yet?

I've just put together a 1.5 hour dub special for my radio show on Wednesday, 6:30 - 8pm.

Lots of King Tubbys finest moments to commemorate the 20 years this month since his murder, including a few dubplates, and more from the usual and not so usual suspects.

Old school is good but there’s some lovely stuff out in the last few years that more dub influenced than straight up dub.
Blumenkraft by OTT is certainly trippy . It’s kinda psy dub and not something I’d usually go for but it’s niiice.

And Suzuki dub – tosca is quality dub that would probably go in the chill out section of most record stores.

Also “on a dub mission” and “ dub for masses” are good compliations.

DJ Spooky - Creation Rebel

Not very impressed with this tbh, too many unimaginative gimmicks and overlaid "cool" samples. Would prefer to listen to the originals and if you want all the effects, lion roars and over production you need look no further than Joe Gibbs' 1978 classic which has never been surpassed- African Dub Chapter 3. Widely available on CD.
