1. why would anyone want to go to hackney?

2. there is no north london line, theres a northern line but as far as i know it doesnt go to hackney...

3. why, why god why?!

There is a North London line, also known as the Silverlink. There is a station in Camden called Camden Road which will take you to Hackney.

Hackney is much, much better than Camden.

p.s. That big shoes with big soles look is shite isn't it.

ah, the locals call it the north london line do they?!

i get the silverlink to work but have no desire to get off in hackney :)

i promise i wont wear any big shoes out in camden tonight, if that makes it any better?

What are the decent pubs in Hackney then? I usually end up in the Adam & Eve down Homerton High Street.

When I lived there my favouries were The Three Sisters and The Globe on Morning Lane (not on a Friday evening though!!) in terms or friendly locals & pub sports. And late night drinking.

Ah. That pub behind Koko's is called The HOpe and Anchor and several posters on Beerintheevening independently call it the worst pub they have EVER been too. So not just me then.

If it's still there, the Cobden Arms on the High Street by Mornington Cresent looks unassuming from outside but is pleasant enough. Which is the best you're gonna get in Camden.

As for Hackney - Pembury Tavern, Pub on the Park, Dove, Globe, Royal Inn on the Park all perfectly pleasant. The Crown RIP, but it was in Tower Hamlets. I'd avoid the Cat & Mutton, or Cat & Wanker, as I call it, unless you love Shoreditch Twats.

i've only been in once but it was recently and it didn't seem taht bad... bit bland, but ok.

there are still a lot of god pubs in Hackney but i can't be bothered to list them and am going home.

the constitution - bit out of the centre... bit basic... but when I lived in camden we got to know the landlady and she's lovely and there is also a nice gardeny bit out by the canal. and it's cheap and it's friendly and they have a cluedo machine.

the oxford arms - big, central, not as bad as most of the others. do a good quiz on a monday.

edinboro castle - up parkway. big beer garden. about it's only attraction.

goth pub. rockabilly pub. world's end. no, no, no.

buck's head is Ok at a push.

it's not the greatest place to go drinking. that's why we left.

oh... forgot about the camden arms. blingtastic. trying to be achingly trendy. just succeeding in being expensive. nice of you like that kind of thing.

What's the Pembury Tavern like now it's been re-opened?

The Dove is overpriced arsey-ness & the Royal Inn on the Park is run/staffed by by the same rude wankers as the equally shite The Approach in Bethnal Green isn't it? Used to be anyway. Used to do a decent pub quiz on a Tuesday though, with that very large fella.

Pub on the Park- Yes, adequate pub.

The Enterprise is always a good bet , nearer to Chalk Farm station than Camden Town though.

and their london pride was off, but they still served it.
