Recommend me a night out

tommers

Currently in investor / advisor mode.
here's the deal...

I've spent my day fixing washing machines, bath taps and vacuum cleaners.

I want to go out.

I want to get battered.

I live in London.

Where should I go?

Any ska nights would be especially appreciated.....

dunno bout ska nights but plan b in brixton ain't bad. drinks are very ££ but i think that they do that to keep the riff-raff out. have a look on the calendar. I'm sure that there's an urban meet soon

There's a meet tonight if you want to come along - not ska just drinks though.

thanks... I was thinking more of a "get mash up, come home at 6 in the morning" type affair tho. (although I do have a lovely frock.)

I've also just been told by the other half that "we're not going to camden". which kind of puts paid to that. :D

have a good one.

Cheers - I had a feeling that might be the case :D

HDIF is on (end of the page of that link) but I wouldn't describe that as mash up either - sounds like fun by all accounts from urbanites that go though ...

yeah, that sounds alright. I had a look at that earlier on... could be a possibility.

Basically I'm trying to find something that will stop me just going to the Telegraph again!

Here's what's on at Fabric (if you don't mind the queues, or get there early)

Walthamstow festival? Won't be all night though. More on the Time Out link though if you have a search

or see what's on here,

Good luck:D

haha! cheers! I've been looking at those links actually.... I'm still lacking in inspiration. :(

I'm obviously hard to please today.

sorry.

That doesn't look too bad actually... not sure if I can be arsed to drag myself up Brixton Hill though :o

I know... I wanted to do something different tho....

on the other hand... if I read about one more "twisted, upfront, funky crowd" then I'm going to kill myself. :( :D

what have you been reading?

"Brighton-based party promoters Nikon Driver and kicking_k return with their 'experimental disco' where they only play new music – 'a third of the stuff we play is making its debut' –from hip hop and twisted electro to fashion pop and sleaze rock for artists, depraved clubbers and designers (not in that order)."

"bassbin-tearing, funk-fuelled breaks and electro bass"

"The crowd is a mash-up mix too. They’re gay/straight, black/white, they’re Shoho-boho trendy or they’re dressed down or they’re freakily made-up and accessorised like they don’t give a fig about fashion"

from the first page of the time out club guide. :D

there are eight more pages.
