Recommend me a low fat pudding...

Bake in preheated oven at 175 C/350 F/Gas 4 for 15-30 minutes, until sugar begins to caramelize and apples are soft :)

Or... core them and put a spoonful of golden syrup and sultanas in the hole in the middle... yum!! (You can put a spoonful of jam in instead as well if you prefer...)

Or you can go for the "it's not really low fat to start with but the portion is small enough it doesn't matter too much" - swap lashing of ice cream for a mini milk ice lolly for example or have a tea cake (the marshmallow jammy kind as opposed to the sultana toasted with butter kind).

please :(

It's an Autumnal thing with me that i dont feel full unless i've had some pudding...my nightly indulgences are telling on my waist line...pls don't mention fruits :D

I know a great half fat pudding.

Eat half a great tasting pudding.

What is the point on settling for a crappy substandard pud (or cheese)?

Gelatine, actually, but equally as foul!

Yeah, sorry for my little rant on a well manned thread on low fat puddings.

I confused rennet with geleatine. It's still made of pork though. I used to eat Muller products until I found this out, they had no info on their web site so I had to email to find that the geleatine they use was not vegetarian and that is was from a pig.

Those caramilized apples sound fab. Might try those.

2 suggestions, both v low in fat:

Stewed apple (sweeten this less than usual, some of the marshmallow will sweeten it) with marshmallows on top, grilled (or shoved in the oven) until the marshmallows have gone crusty and started to melt.

Bananas & custard - if the custard is made with custard powder and skimmed milk.

i've just made this and it reminds me why I hate apple pie filling so much ...:( not so nice for me but 10/10 for trying

Winter pudding has to be stodgy for me, so I get my pudding fix by reducing the amount of sugar and fat and standard recipes.

I've made this cobbler recipe replacing the sour cream and about 1/4 of the butter with low fat yogurt - turns out fine, and hardly has any sugar other what is naturally in the fruit.

Replace the fruit with whatever you've got hanging around.

Crumble can be made healthier by bulking it out with oats, and not adding sugar to the fruit.

Bread and butter pudding can be pretty healthy - butter and sugar can be cut right down, and just use semi-skimmed milk and no cream. You have to have the eggs, but they're good for you anyway.
