recommend me a dentist in North London

Its high time for me to go and visit the dentist so I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good NHS dentist in north/east London that takes in new patients (Old Street/Camden/Finsbury Park/Stoke Newington/Bethnal Green)
I hate going to the dentist so would like one that is sympathetic to nervous patients.
Cheers

the dental art studio on city road - nrst tube old st. they did me veneers. bit pricey i guess but good nonetheless.

I can't give you any recommendations but these are the dentists in that area that are offering NHS treatment. It's a start.

Thanks Lizzieloo, I have the list but was looking for a personal recommendation mainly because I get so nervous before I go to the dentist I want one thats good (I had a horrible dentist when I was younger that's scarred me for life). It has to be NHS, I'm not on benefits but am on a low income.

I know how you feel. I'm scared to death of dentists, anything I have done I have to have done under sedation, which costs a fortune.

Good Luck

I used to HATE the dentist!!!!!! .... until i went here:Millbank Dental Care, 42 Ponsonby Place, Westminster, London. SW1P 4PR.

i went private (cash in hand) . they really put you at ease! little things like , when they give you an injection you get a special-gum to chew first so you don't even feel that.they show you a film about what will happen , hold your hand (:o ) and afterwards i wanted to marry them all!

edit: sorry did not read your low income bit......i am sure they offered me to pay in parts at the time! they are lovely ladies and very understanding! give it a try.

There's a great little NHS dentist on kentish Town Road called ADP (associated dental practice). Get yourself in there! I wish I had bloody well kept up my six month appointments there, I've now moved to South London and can't even see a dentist till the middle of November. Spent nearly 3 hours last night at the emergency place at kings college hospital :(

I use this lot:

Dentessentials
75, Curtain Rd, London, EC2A 3BS
Tel: 020 7613 3388

Never had any problems with them and last time I heard they were still taking on NHS patients (that's what I joined as).
